As soon as you start leading student tours with us, you’re automatically enrolled, meaning you’ll start earning Global Rewards Points immediately. And there are so many easy ways to earn bonus rewards—especially for 2026 travel.
You can use your points practically right away. Redeem them for VIP Rewards Tours or other EF-exclusive vacations that go almost everywhere—you can even bring a guest. Your school can benefit, too. Use your points to award travel scholarships for your students, and when multiple teachers from your school lead EF tours in the same year, you all earn extra rewards.
There are tons of (super easy!) ways to earn points
Lead your first student tour!
First-time Group Leaders can earn 1 point for every traveling student, times the number of days on your tour. (So if you lead 20 students on a 10-day tour, that’s already 200 points.)
Lead your second student tour. And third, and fourth, and fifty-fifth…
Your point-earning rate multiplies as you lead more tours. For starters, when you lead two tours, you’ll get two-times the points—but you can see the full travel-amplifying math here.
Refer a friend
If your referral leads their own student tour, you get 500 points right when they get home.
Share the wealth
With EF School Points, when other teachers from your school also lead tours, you all earn bonus points from one another. Yep, you’ll earn points for every paying student on any EF tour your school leads.
Make it a double
Lead tours two years in a row and you’ll earn extra points.

Plan your own student tour
When you plan a student trip for 2026 (whether this is your first EF tour or your 100th), you can earn more bonuses on top of everything above! Enroll at least 10 paying travelers by January 1, 2025 and earn 500 Global Points or $1,000 when you return. And if you enroll at least 30 paying travelers by the same date, you’ll get an additional 500 active points that you could use right away in January.
Refer a fellow teacher
When your friend enrolls at least 10 paying travelers on a 2026 tour by January 1, 2025, you can earn 500 points or $1,000 when they return. And if they enroll at least 30 paying travelers by the same date, you’ll get an additional 500 active points that will hit your account right away.
